The New South Wales government has announced that Newcastle will host the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship for the next five years. The move is a good one, but it’s also a reminder that racing is for the track, not the road.
If you have been injured due to the negligence of others, make sure you talk to an expert in the field of compensation law. A car accident can have a major impact on your standard of living and your quality of life. A compensation settlement can help you cover medical bills and any loss of income.
V8s making a move
NSW Premier Mike Baird and Supercars Australia Chief Executive James Warburton recently made the announcement, pointing out that Supercar fans from the Hunter Valley will be ecstatic.
“The Coates Hire Newcastle 500 will be the first Supercars race ever held in Newcastle and is another major event secured for Regional NSW,” Mr Baird said. “It’s a picturesque course that takes in some of the city’s best landmarks, including Nobby’s Beach and Fort Scratchley.
“The race is expected to inject more than $57 million to the Hunter region over the next five years, and attract 81,000 domestic and international visitors.”
While the event’s a great day out for families, friends and couples, it’s also a reminder that racing at speed is not for New South Wales’ public roads.
Car accident compensation
If you have been injured in a car accident, you may be able to claim compensation. Yet, the legislation that covers compensation is highly complex, and those that go it alone can fail to obtain the maximum entitlements afforded them in their circumstances.
One way to ensure this does not befall you is by engaging with a car accident lawyer experienced in making claims under New South Wales law. At Gerard Malouf and Partners Compensation, Medical negligence and Will dispute lawyers, we have experience working with people with whiplash injuries all the way to spinal cord injury and burn victims.
Our lawyers offer a no win no fee guarantee that ensures money is not an obstacle to you making a claim. Rather than receive payment through upfront costs, our fees are procured from your successful settlement.
Not only are there no upfront costs, but our remuneration depends on the success of your claim. If you would like to know more, contact one of our car accident lawyer today.
