The reason for the recall is an issue with a bolt that is used in the suspension coupling. The bolt can become loose, leading to the possibility of injury to the patient. While there has been no identified incidents, the risk of harm is too high if the bolt becomes loose from its housing.
Due to the implementation and installation of the product, Patient Handling or its appointed regional distributors will upgrade the affected hoist in the home or at the premises. The upgrade will come in the from of a safety ring that will prevent the bolt from becoming loose.
