Gerard Malouf and Partners wins the Sydney Round of the First Global Legal Hackathon

Kicking off on the 23rd of February 2018, the GMP team dug deep to compete in a 54 hour event against the best legal firms in the country. Amongst the top corporate firms, our junior solicitors used their practical skills and tenacity to rapidly develop a solution to real world problems faced by the legal industry.
Georgia Potgieter and Alexander Hairs collaborated with Western Sydney Developer Irwin Razaghi, and in true GMP spirit, welcomed last minute entrant Carolyn Austen into the GMP team.
Being the smallest group competing, the GMP underdogs showed their grit and determination to develop and pitch their app “Court Cover”.
The skilled legal panel of judges liked what they saw, awarding GMP the overall winners.
Now the next step for the team is to progress on as an Australian representative to compete in this global competition.
With the Final rounds to be held in New York this April, we’re excited to show the world what GMP can do.
