Gerard Malouf and Partners have recently settled a claim for a 36 year old railway worker who was involved in a rear-end car accident in North Ryde.
The circumstances of our Client’s accident was that on 27 March 2013 our Client was returning from a meeting in Newcastle to his office in Homebush. He was stationary at a set of red lights, on Lane Cove Road, when another vehicle failed to stop and collided with significant force into the rear of our Client’s vehicle. Our Client felt immediate neck and lower back pain.
After exchanging details our Client drove back to his office in Homebush where he started to receive headaches and stiffness in his neck and lower back.
Our Client missed 7 weeks off work as a result of his accident. He attended physiotherapy, remedial massage and was taking pain killers as a result of the accident.
Further as a result of the accident our Client had to return to live with his parents, on the Central Coast, as he was unable to care for himself and had no support network in Merrylands. However our Client found it hard to commute into the city each day for work.
Our Client asked his employer to obtain worker closer to his central coast residence and was lucky to be given employment in Gosford. However this was at a lower grade of pay then his Sydney job.
Our Client having suffered serious misfortune was however in good hands having Vrege Kolokossian, Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law, looking after his claim.
At Gerard Malouf and Partners we pride ourselves on the on our ability to negotiate matters and find a resolution for you without wasting the time and costs of the court process.
Vrege was able to secure payment for our Client’s loss of earnings as a result of time off work as well as having to take lower paid position closer to home.
Vrege noted that our Client was unable to maintain his pre-accident employment position and was able to attain payments for the future reduced earning capacity that our Client suffered, in the open labour market.
As well as being able to reclaim all past expense on physiotherapy, doctor’s visits and even travel expenses incurred by our Client. Finally Vrege was able to claim payment for the free care and assistance that was provided to our Client by his parents.
If you are a person who has suffered serious injuries in a rear-end car accident, you may be entitled to receive a substantial award for compensation.
